Because guinea pigs love hiding and finding somewhere soft and cosy for a snooze. The dome tunnel is a cosy hideout for your small pet to chill out and take a nap! Guinea pigs all love to have fun and hide. This tunnel is perfect for crazy zooming… lots of pop corning and a much needed nap after all that hard work. It is a great place to hide and have an escape route too.
My guinea pig loves his tunnels. He loves running in and out of it. He sleeps in his too. There is always crazy amounts of popcorning when something new is placed in their enclosure. This tunnel suits 1 adult guinea pig. If you have baby piggies probably a few can fit in there. Please measure your pets first if unsure. My adult guinea pig is a bit of a contortionist. He always manages to squeeze in impossible spots. I found my two together in a sack that should only fit one of them.
Construction
Tunnel
This tunnel measures approximately 36cm by 22cm x 17cm high. The edges are reinforced with batting, boning and extra stitching to enable the tunnel to hold its shape. It is machine washable and dryer friendly. Its is made with 2 layers of fleece and 1 layer of batting. The batting is quilted with the fleece to keep it in place. It is machine washable and dryer friendly. Please take it out of the washing machine as soon as possible to help it keep its shape. Small animals just love to hide. Pad
This set comes with 1 absorbent pad for lining the bottom of the cosy hut. It is made larger to help contain the accidents. The pads that fits in the tunnel to extend the cleanliness. Pop the pad out when soiled and pop a new one in. It measures 19cm x 38cm. The lap pad is made with 2 layers of fleece, 1 layer of absorbent fabric and 1 layer of water resistant fabric. Care
Please refrain from using softeners and dryer sheets. The idea is to let the wetness pass through the fleece to the absorbent pad in the middle and the fleece stays dry. You may have to wash it a few times before it works better. Care is easy because it is machine washable and dryer friendly. Please wash the pads before use.
This set is handmade with love. It comes from a clean and smoke free home and suitable for guinea pigs. Perfect for cold weather.
As with all handmade items. Expect small imperfections. I only sell huts that I will use for my own guinea pig. I try to cut off all loose threads and do a quality check before post.

Purchased 3 tunnels for our boys. Do yourself a favour and get these. We have tried the major shops, Amazon and everything in-between! The quality of these products is far superior to anything we have purchased so far. Bright colours, beautiful designs and most importantly, functional! They are large enough that the boys can play around, duck in and out, and feel comfortable in. The material is thick, the sewing outstanding. An added bonus was the scrunchie that Mon included, which my DD is wearing happily 🙂
