Why Fruit hut

Guinea pigs love hiding and finding somewhere soft and cosy for a snooze. The hut is a cosy hideout for your small pet to chill out and take a nap! There are no exposed seams inside. The whole hut is soft and cuddly just nice for the cold winter weather we are getting. My guinea pig loves his cosy hut. He sleeps and hides in his heaps. This hut/cube suits 1 adult guinea pig. My guinea pig about 25cm long and 15cm wide. He is quite fluffy. He fits in there with a 2 month old. If you have baby piggies probably a few can fit in there. I do not own a rabbit, so you may need to measure your baby rabbit before purchasing one since some rabbits are bigger than others. Please measure your pets first if unsure.

This hut is definitely something I would use for my piggies. The whole hut is soft and cuddly just nice for the cold winter weather we are getting. It has 1 entrances/exits.  My guinea pig loves his cosy hut. He sleeps and hides in his heaps. Its is made with 2 layers of fleece and 1 layer of batting. It is machine washable and measures approximately 25cm x 25 cm x 25cm.

Pee pads are highly recommended to be used with the hut. They are sold separately and available here. The pads help contains messes and absorbs moisture. It helps contains some of the mess and keep the hut clean longer.

This set is handmade with love. It comes from a clean and smoke free home. It is suitable for guinea pigs. Perfect for cold weather.

As with all handmade items. Expect small imperfections. I only sell huts that I will use for my own guinea pig. I do try to cut off all loose threads and do a quality check before post. This hidey hut has not been used.

Please wash before use. Please note that the hut is a fluffy item. Hand wash is best. If machine wash, please use the fastest setting and remove as soon as possible. Hand washing is still preferable. Placement of prints may vary. It cannot be sent as a letter post because it is a fluffy, bulky item.

Disclaimer: Huts are mainly for cooler weather as guinea pig cannot self regulate their own temperature. They can overheat and become very ill. Please remove when the weather is hot. In the cooler climate in Victoria, I do use them in summer but only on cold nights.
